We have vacancies for support workers within our Learning Disabilities Support Service to support people in their own home. As a support worker you will be a friendly, caring and reassuring support to our service users. You will be assisting with various needs – personal care you will assisting or prompting bathing/washing, dressing etc. You will also support our service users with medication (prompts or administering). We also help our service users to maintain their home by supporting them to cook and clean and budget their income where needed. Some of our service users enjoy social activities such as visiting the cinema, museums, bowling etc, which we support them to do this.

Person Specification:

We are looking for caring, empathetic, patient and reliable men and women to join our family here at Embracing Care. Having a driving licence and access to your own car is preferred but not always essential. Time management, organisational skills and flexibility will benefit you within your role as well as having good communication skills and being able to work as part of a team as well as on your own. Showing respect, dignity and adaptability is paramount in your role as a support worker as the safety and well being of our service users is our priority.
