Health Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care – Permanent

What is the Role of a Health Care Assistant?

At Kelly Park Limited, a Health Care Assistant (HCA) is a vital frontline team member responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. HCAs support people with daily living tasks, promote independence, and provide companionship — all while ensuring dignity, safety, and respect are upheld at every stage of care. Working in partnership with Service Users, families, and multidisciplinary teams, HCAs help ensure that care plans are followed, individual needs are met, and people are empowered to live with confidence in the comfort of familiar surroundings.

What Support We Provide

Health Care Assistants provide a wide range of essential support to meet the day-to-day needs of our Service Users, including:

Personal Care – supporting individuals with washing, dressing, grooming, continence care, and mobility assistance, always respecting privacy and choice.

Medication Support – prompting, administering, or overseeing medication in line with training, care plans, and company policy.

Meal Preparation – preparing and serving nutritious meals and drinks, supporting with feeding where needed, and respecting dietary and cultural preferences.

Companionship – providing emotional support, conversation, and reassurance to promote mental wellbeing and reduce loneliness.

Domestic Support – helping with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping to maintain a safe and hygienic home environment.

Monitoring and Reporting – observing any changes in health, mood, or behaviour and promptly reporting these to the office or on-call team to ensure timely intervention.

HCAs work to individualised care plans and follow agreed routines, always acting with professionalism, sensitivity, and integrity.

Our Approach

At Kelly Park Limited, our approach to care is built on the foundation of the 6Cs of Care. Every Health Care Assistant is expected to demonstrate and uphold these values in everything they do:

Care – Shows compassion and respect in every interaction, placing the Service User’s wellbeing at the centre of care.

Compassion – Provides thoughtful, kind, and emotionally supportive care, treating every person as an individual with their own story.

Competence – Applies professional training and knowledge to safely deliver care, follows policies and procedures, and completes regular ongoing development.

Communication – Listens actively, communicates clearly, and records accurate notes to support safe, informed care.

Courage – Speaks up about concerns, follows safeguarding procedures, and supports individuals with confidence — even in complex situations.

Commitment – Maintains high standards of care, shows reliability, and takes pride in making a real difference in people’s lives.

Our HCAs are not just care workers — they are trusted partners in the lives of those they support.
