Our list of essential requirements is a little bit different to what you may read in other job adverts. For us at Supportive, we look at things a little differently. You do not need to be a 5-star chef, basic cooking skills are helpful to make sure our service users are always well fed, and everyone knows home cooked food is good for the soul. We look at the person. We require someone who has empathy, a lot of patience and a genuine want to make a difference in people’s lives in our local community. Please don’t worry if you have never done this role before, we provide full training and ongoing support to build your confidence and skills. We have a variety of hours available, so we are confident we could find a schedule that suits both your home life and our service users.
